The Food Industry Capacity & Skill Initiative (FICSI), the Food Processing Sector Skill Council promoted by FICCI and supported by NSDC under MSDE and MoFPI, announces the 5th National Food Processing Aptitude Test (NFPAT) – 2026.

NFPAT is a national-level, industry-aligned assessment for students of Food Technology and allied disciplines (B.Tech/M.Tech, B.Sc/M.Sc, B.Voc/M.Voc, and related graduate/postgraduate programs). It evaluates technical competence and industry readiness and facilitates placement with 50+ leading food processing companies.

  • Passing Criteria: 70%
  • Eligibility: Maximum age 26 years (as on 1 January 2026); students from Food Technology and allied courses only

 

Syllabus:

  • Part A – Aptitude & Logical Reasoning
  • Part B – Food Processing (National Occupation Standard-based for Skill India Certificate), including fundamentals, food quality & safety, and food processing & preservation.

Important Points to Note

  • The exam will be digitally proctored and shall be conducted on a personal computing device with a camera and a microphone available and activated to ensure digital proctoring and credibility & fairness of the exam.
  • Once the exam starts, the system will be locked in exam mode, and no other window/tab/pop-up window will be allowed to open.
  • In the event of a system crash, the window will resume from the last open page, and the exam can continue.
