As the demand for safe, high-quality food increases globally, well-trained professionals are essential to ensure industry standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Food Industry Capacity &amp; Skill Initiative (FICSI) plays an important role in India&#8217;s vision to train its youth through vocational education in the food industry. As a Sector Skill Council under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, FICSI is preparing young people for the workforce in the food processing sector by skill training, supporting self-employment, and increasing productivity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"1\"><strong>The Needs for Training in the Food Industry\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>The Growing Need For Processed And Safe Foods\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The demand for packaged, processed, and ready-to-eat foods is growing due to urbanisation and changing lifestyles. Proper training helps them comply with food production hygiene and safety as well as quality assurance standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><b>Offsetting The Skills Shortage\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Countries like India have unexploited opportunities for development in the food processing industry due to a shortage of trained personnel.
